Schnucks Market Contributes More Than $1.2 Million to Public Education

For selling more than $1 million in Missouri Lottery product during calendar year 2014, a St. Louis Schnucks Market, 6920 Olive Blvd., is being inducted into the Lottery’s Million Dollar Club. The Club, which consists of 28 retailers, aims to honor Missouri Lottery retailers that sell more than $1 million in Lottery products during a given year. To celebrate the achievement, the Missouri Lottery hosted a customer appreciation event at the store on May 28.
“This is the fourth straight year that this Schuncks Market has been a member of the Million Dollar Club, and we couldn’t be any happier for them,” said May Scheve Reardon, executive director for the Missouri Lottery. “In the past four years alone, this Schnucks Market has generated more than $1.2 million for public education.”
Reardon explained that the Million Dollar Club is a way to honor retail locations that are going above and beyond to raise money for a variety of programs, including A+ Scholarships, Virtual Schools, Special Education Excess Costs, Access Missouri, the Classroom Trust Fund, library acquisitions and educational scholarships.
“Lottery players who shop at Schnucks Market are winning, too! Last year, more than $645,000 in prizes were won on tickets sold at this location. This customer appreciation event is our way to celebrate the store’s achievements with their customers,” Reardon concluded.
