A St. Louis woman used multiple tickets to win a large Missouri Lottery prize. K. Sanchez, 59, said she picked numbers from license plates while driving on the highway, then bought five straight and five straight/box Pick 4 tickets for several weeks. When the numbers came in on May 16, she won $45,625. She claimed the prizes the next week in the St. Louis Lottery office.

“Every once in a while, I look at a license plate as I’m driving down the highway, and then I write the number down,” explained Sanchez. “Then I play it.”

She admitted that this was her first big win, but she was pleased that it would allow her to do something important just a few years before retirement.

“It’s going to help me out immensely, because I’ll be able to save my mother’s house,” said Sanchez.

She’ll keep playing numbers that speak to her, and she counseled others to try Pick 4, too.

“Think about the numbers, and if they spark out at you, play them,” she said.

Pick 4 is a twice daily Draw Game. Players can win up to $6,000 on a $1 play with several different play types to choose from. The winning midday numbers on May 16 were:  4-6-8-2.
