Mr. T's Contributes More Than $2.5 Million to Public Education

For the fourth consecutive year, Mr. T’s Liquor Store, 510 U.S. Highway 412 in Cardwell, was welcomed into the Missouri Lottery’s Million Dollar Club. The group consists of 28 Missouri Lottery retailers that sold more than $1 million in Lottery products in 2014. To celebrate, the Missouri Lottery hosted a customer appreciation event at the store on May 22.
“In the past four years Mr. T’s Liquor Store has sold more than $9 million in Lottery product. We couldn’t be more proud of this retail partner,” said May Scheve Reardon, executive director for the Missouri Lottery. “Lottery sales at this retail location in the past four years alone have generated more than $2.5 million for public education. That’s a big achievement.”
Reardon explained that the Million Dollar Club is a way to honor retail locations that are going above and beyond to raise money for a variety of education programs in Missouri, including A+ Scholarships, Virtual Schools, Special Education Excess Costs, Access Missouri, the Classroom Trust Fund, library acquisitions and educational scholarships.
“Lottery players who shop at Mr. T’s Liquor Store are winning, too! Last year, more than $1.2 million in prizes were won from tickets sold at this location. In fact, a player purchased a winning $1 million Scratchers ticket from Mr. T’s Liquor Store just last month,” said Reardon. This event is our way to celebrate the store’s achievements with their customers,”
