7-Eleven Contributes More Than $1 Million to Public Education

For the fourth year, 7-Eleven, 900 Shackleford Road in Florissant, has been inducted into the Missouri Lottery’s Million Dollar Club – a group of top-selling Lottery retail locations that sell more than $1 million in Lottery products during a calendar year. To celebrate, the Missouri Lottery hosted a customer appreciation event at the store on May 21.
“The real winner is public education,” said May Scheve Reardon, executive director for the Missouri Lottery, noting that the 7-Eleven location is one of 28 retailers being welcomed into the Lottery’s 2014 Million Dollar Club. “In the four years that they have been members of the Club, this 7-Eleven has contributed more than $1 million to public education. They should be proud of this great achievement.”
Reardon explained that the Million Dollar Club is a way to honor retail locations that are going above and beyond to raise money for a variety of programs, including A+ Scholarships, Virtual Schools, Special Education Excess Costs and educational scholarships, among others.
“Lottery players who shop at this 7-Eleven are winning, too! Last year, more than $581,000 in prizes were won on Lottery tickets purchased at this location. This customer appreciation event is our way to both celebrate the store’s success and reward their customers by awarding prizes,” Reardon said.
