When Daniel Bell, 44, saw that his four numbers were drawn in the midday Pick 4 drawing for Monday, May 25, neither he nor his wife could believe it. It wasn’t until he validated the ticket that he started to believe his good fortune.

“I didn’t even know how much I had won until I got here,” said Bell, while claiming his $3,750 prize at the Lottery’s Headquarters in Jefferson City on May 27.

The father’s $3,750 prize marks his most recent Missouri Lottery win, noting that he has won $3,250 from Pick 4 and a couple $1,000 prizes in the past, as well.

“We are going fishing, and we are going to a Royals® game,” chimed Bell’s only son, Carson, when asked how the prize would be spent.

“The rest will go towards bills,” continued Bell. “This came at the perfect time. I took vacation from work all next week.”

Bell purchased his ticket at Break Time, 808 E. Broadway in Sedalia, and he used Quick Pick to successfully match his four numbers with the numbers drawn, which were:  8, 8, 3 and 8.

Pick 4 is 50 cents or $1 per play and has an average of 130 winners per draw. Players can win from $30 to $6,000 on a $1 play by matching a wide variety of numbers and combinations.
