$1 Million Powerball Prize Remains Unclaimed in Neosho

Story Photo

Is someone walking around Neosho a millionaire without even knowing it? It’s been more than a month since a Missouri Lottery player won $1 million from a ticket purchased in Neosho for the April 11 Powerball drawing, but so far no one has stepped forward to claim the prize.

The ticket, which was purchased at Kum & Go, 16140 Highway 59, matched all five white-ball numbers drawn:  1, 12, 32, 42 and 58.

“If you play Powerball at this location, it’s the perfect time to check any tickets you may have to see if you’re holding a winner,” said May Scheve Reardon, executive director for the Missouri Lottery. “Can you imagine a better way to start your summer than by claiming a $1 million prize?”

Powerball winners have exactly 180 days from the drawing to claim their prize.  In this case, the winner has until Oct. 8 to present the winning ticket.

Missouri Lottery offices are located in Springfield, Jefferson City, Kansas City and St. Louis.  Maps to each office can be found in the Contact Us section.
