Schnucks Market Contributes More Than $1.4 Million to Public Education

Congratulations are in order for Schnucks Market, 4171 Lindell Blvd. in St. Louis, for being inducted into the Missouri Lottery’s Million Dollar Club for the fourth straight year. The Club, which consists of 28 retailers, honors Lottery retailers that sold more than $1 million in Lottery products in 2014. To celebrate this achievement, the Missouri Lottery hosted a customer appreciation event at the store on May 11.
“The real winner is public education,” said May Scheve Reardon, executive director for the Missouri Lottery. “We are so proud of this retail location. In the past four years alone, more than $1.4 million has been contributed to public education by Lottery sales from this Schnucks Market.”
Reardon explained that the Million Dollar Club is a way to honor retail locations that are going above and beyond to raise money for a variety of programs, including A+ Scholarships, Virtual Schools, Special Education Excess Costs, Access Missouri, the Classroom Trust Fund, library acquisitions and educational scholarships.
“Lottery players who shop at this Schnucks Market are winning, too! Last year, more than $700,000 in prizes were won with tickets sold at this location. This customer appreciation event is our way to celebrate the store’s achievements with their customers,” Reardon concluded.
