Schnucks Market Contributes More Than $1.1 Million to Public Education

For the fourth consecutive year, Schnucks Market, 1450 Hampton Ave. in St. Louis, was inducted into the Missouri Lottery’s Million Dollar Club, a group of 28 retailers, for selling more than $1 million in Lottery products in 2014. To celebrate the achievement, the Missouri Lottery hosted a customer appreciation event at the store on May 1.
“The real winner is public education,” said May Scheve Reardon, executive director for the Missouri Lottery. “We are so proud of this retail location. For the fourth straight year, this Schnucks Market has sold more than $1 million in Lottery product. In that time, more than $1.1 million has been contributed to public education by Lottery sales from this Schnucks Market location alone.”
Reardon explained that the Million Dollar Club is a way to honor retail locations that are going above and beyond to raise money for a variety of programs, including A+ Scholarships, Virtual Schools, Special Education Excess Costs, Access Missouri, the Classroom Trust Fund, library acquisitions and educational scholarships.
“This customer appreciation event is our way to both celebrate the store’s success and reward their customers by awarding prizes,” Reardon said.
