Dierbergs Contributes More Than $1.1 Million to Public Education

For the fourth consecutive year, Dierbergs, 222 N. Highway 67 in Florissant, was inducted into the Missouri Lottery’s Million Dollar Club. The group consists of 28 Missouri Lottery retailers that sold more than $1 million in Lottery products in 2014. To celebrate this distinct achievement, the Missouri Lottery hosted a customer appreciation event at the store on April 29.

“For four straight years, this Dierbergs has sold more than $4 million in Lottery product. We couldn’t be more proud of this retail partner,” said May Scheve Reardon, executive director for the Missouri Lottery. “Lottery sales at this retail location in the past four years alone have generated more than $1.1 million in proceeds for public education.”

Reardon explained that the Million Dollar Club is a way to honor retail locations that are going above and beyond to raise money for a variety of education programs in Missouri, including A+ Scholarships, Virtual Schools, Special Education Excess Costs, Access Missouri, the Classroom Trust Fund, library acquisitions and educational scholarships.

“Lottery players who shop at Dierbergs are winning, too. Last year, more than $689,000 in prizes was won from tickets sold at this location. This customer appreciation event is our way to celebrate the store’s achievements with their customers,” Reardon concluded.
