Club Keno Player Wins Twice in One Night

March 7 must be Jessica Bardwell’s lucky day. While working at Fitter’s 5th Street Pub, 500 S. Ohio, in Sedalia, Bardwell won not one, but two, Club Keno prizes totaling $30,771.
“I play every once in a while, but I usually pick my own numbers. I didn’t have a lot of time, so I just went ahead and did a 10-Spot Quick Pick,” explained the Sedalia resident.
Bardwell continued, saying that she did not realize that she had won until later that night.

“I put it to the side; I usually don’t watch the games because I get anxious. I noticed that my games were over, so I did the inquiry and saw $10,000 and freaked out,” said Bardwell.

Thinking she would try to capitalize on her good luck, the 24-year-old purchased a second Club Keno 8-Spot Quick Pick ticket and was floored when she saw that she had won an additional $20,771.
“I didn’t believe it at first. I had to scan it more than one time to realize that it was real life and not just an error. I freaked out. It was hard to contain my excitement on that one,” laughed Bardwell, adding that everyone at Fitter’s knew about her double wins by that point.

While claiming her prize at Lottery Headquarters in Jefferson City in the company of her boyfriend, Kyle, Bardwell said she would like to use most of her winnings to pay off her student loans and try to save a little, as well.

To play Club Keno, players can choose how many different numbers (also called “spots”) they want to play from 1 to 10. Twenty numbers from a field of one to 80 are chosen in a computerized random Club Keno drawing held every four minutes.
