ILLINOIS TRUCK DRIVER WINS $10,000 IN MOBERLY

A truck driver from Quincy, Ill., saw fireworks a day before the Fourth when a "Lucky 7s Bingo" Scratchers ticket he bought this morning in Moberly turned out to be worth $10,000. Richard Markey, 48, said he stops in Break Time, 1210 Highway 24 E. in Moberly, every weekday morning and buys one bingo-type ticket and a V8 drink.
Markey, who drives a truck for a rendering plant, said he may use the winnings to buy a house, since he currently rents.
"Lucky 7s Bingo" is the 407th Scratchers game offered by the Missouri Lottery. The $2 game officially started April 13.
