Ticket Sales in February Generate $25.7 Million for Public Education

A big Powerball jackpot that brought strong sales in February helped boost the Missouri Lottery’s monthly transfer to more than $25.7 million. The March transfer of $25,759,309 to the Lottery Proceeds Fund for public education brings the total transferred in fiscal year 2015 to more than $197.6 million.

Since Missouri Lottery sales started in 1986, the Lottery has generated more than $5 billion for the state and public education. Programs funded in FY15 include the A+ Scholarship Program, the Foundation Program and Access Missouri. Three Scratchers to Expire in Next Two Months


Two months remain to redeem prizes for three Missouri Lottery Scratchers games. They are:

• Game 924, “$100,000 Taxes Paid,” – expires March 30;
• Game 934, “Bonus Slingo,” – expires March 30;
• Game 911, “$500 A Week for Life,” – expires April 20.
