A substitute teacher from O’Fallon won $44,891 on the Missouri Lottery’s "Fun & Fortune" television game show, which aired this past weekend. Patty Edmiston, 37, competed in the show’s 9 Ball" preliminary round where she won $4,891 and a seat in the "$10,000 Championship" round. During the later round, Edmiston won $10,000 but opted to risk losing half or increasing to nearly $250,000 during the "Mega Multiplier" bonus round. In the end, Edmiston won $40,000 for a total to date of $44,891. She will return again next week as the champion. Edmiston purchased her qualifying ticket at Phillips MPC, 1296 SE Service Road in Wentzville. The store received $2,244.55, an amount equal to 5 percent of Edmiston’s winnings, for selling the qualifying ticket. The other contestants and their winnings from last weekend’s show are: *David Landrigan, Potosi, won $1,859 and $300 worth of "Fun & Fortune Wheel Spin" Scratchers tickets; *Jamie Hough, Knob Noster, won $800; *Edward "Cookie" Minter, Macon, won $700 and $500 worth of Citgo cash cards; *Alice Akers, Wentzville, won $600; *Jay House, Ft. Leonard Wood, won $500. Nine home partners won a total of $2,036 on the show. Stan Laks, St. Louis (63123)*, won $1,000; Marvin Stamm, Osage Beach, won $490; April Aubuchon, Winfield, won $186; Ann Schanz, Crystal City, won $80; Dorothy Colter, Jefferson City, won $70; Barb Babcock, St. Louis (63125)*, won $60; Jerry Spurgeon, St. James, Donald Voss, Washington, and Herbert Drayton, Kansas City, all won $50 each. Six contestants and nine home partners are selected each week. To become a contestant on "Fun & Fortune," you must play the Lottery’s Scratchers game by the same name. Match any of "Your Numbers" to either of the "Fun & Fortune Numbers" to win the prize shown. If the numbers match and the prize won is a television symbol, you are automatically a contestant on the game show; if the numbers match and the prize won is an "ENTRY" prize, you can send it in for a chance for your name to be drawn as a contestant or home partner. Stage contestants could win more than $250,000 in the weekly show.
