Greenwood Resident Cashes in on 'Chocolate Cash'

Story Photo

A Greenwood man is taking home a $100,000 windfall after purchasing a “Chocolate Cash” Scratchers ticket from Casey’s General Store, 1101 W. Main St., in Greenwood. Michael

Camacho, 21, claimed his $100,000 top-prize at the Lottery’s Kansas City regional office on Feb. 17.
While claiming his prize, Camacho said it was a stroke of luck that he ended up purchasing the winning ticket.
“They didn’t have the new ‘7’ ticket that I wanted, so I bought the other $5 ticket they had,” said Camacho.
The stroke of luck paid off for the Greenwood resident, who realized he had won the top prize soon after purchasing the ticket.
“I was in the parking lot when I scratched it. I had to go back inside to have them check the ticket to make sure it was a winner.”
The $100,000 top prize isn’t the first for Camacho, who said he won $6,000 on one of the first Scratchers tickets he purchased after turning 18.

When it comes to spending his six-figure prize, the 21-year-old plans on paying off his car and putting the rest in savings for financial security and future investments.
Chocolate Cash” is the first scented Scratchers ticket offered by the Lottery. The $5 ticket was officially introduced on Dec. 29, 2014, and boasts more than $3.3 million in remaining prizes. Research all remaining Scratchers prizes here at MOLottery.com.
