An early childhood teacher in St. Louis who played Show Me Cash right before Christmas just discovered her ticket was worth $77,000. LaCretia Moore, 43, said her boyfriend bought some Powerball tickets at Gas Mart last week, and he heard that someone won a big prize there. He told her to check all her tickets.

“I remembered playing on my birthday,” she said, recalling that her tickets were in a stack of papers in the kitchen. When she checked those tickets, she couldn’t believe what she found.

Moore purchased the winning Show Me Cash ticket for the Dec. 23, 2014, drawing at 7-Eleven, 105 Dunn Road in Florissant. She let the computer select the winning numbers, which were 3, 9, 14, 18 and 35.

Moore, who works at Roosevelt High School’s teen center, said she plans to use the money to buy a house.

“And I’ll give some to other family members,” she added.

Show Me Cash is a daily Draw Game with jackpots that start at $50,000 and grow until someone wins. Moore’s ticket marks the 340th Show Me Cash jackpot prize since the game began in 2008. In the last calendar year, there were 51 winning Show Me Cash jackpot tickets – with an average prize of more than $186,000, including a $988,000 jackpot won in June.
