Deepwater Woman Wins $5,000 Playing New Game

Story Photo

A 39-year-old cashier and mother of four from Deepwater won $5,000 the second time she played the Missouri Lottery’s new Lucky for Life Draw Game. Tammy Copple said she thinks she will save most of the prize money to “have for the kids when they need it.”

Copple purchased her winning ticket for the Feb. 12 drawing at Sluggers 66 Service, 1805 E. Ohio in Clinton, where she works as a cashier. She matched four white balls and the Lucky Ball to win the prize. The winning numbers were:  4, 6, 32, 42, 46 and the Lucky Ball number was 2.

She found out she won first thing the next morning.

“I called my husband, Troy. He was still in bed,” she explained. “He thought I was pulling his leg.”

Then she texted her four daughters to tell them about her win.

Lucky for Life is a new $2 multi-state Draw Game that started on Jan. 27. It offers a top prize of $1,000 a day for life, a second prize worth $25,000 a year for life and eight other prizes, ranging from $3 to $5,000. Complete game information can be found at MOLottery.com.
