Lottery Sends $21.1 Million to Education Fund

The Missouri Lottery today sent $21.1 million in profits to the Lottery Proceeds Fund for public education. The February transfer of $21,177,072 is based on Lottery tickets sales in January, and it brings the total for fiscal year 2015 to $171.9 million.

Since Missouri Lottery sales started in 1986, the Lottery has generated more than $5 billion for the state and public education. Programs funded in FY15 include the A+ Scholarship Program, the Foundation Program and Access Missouri.                                                                                       Redemption Deadlines Nearing on Five Scratchers

Missouri Lottery Scratchers players only have a few months to redeem prizes in five games. They are:

• Game 947, “St. Louis Blues,” – expires Feb. 23;
• Game 936, “Cadillac Riches,” – expires Feb. 23;
• Game 924, “$100,000 Taxes Paid,” – expires March 30;
• Game 934, “Bonus Slingo,” – expires March 30;
• Game 911, “$500 A Week for Life,” – expires April 20.
