Missouri Man Logs $100,000 Win Before Move to Georgia

Story Photo

Before he moved to Georgia with his mother, David Faulkenberry purchased one last Missouri Lottery ticket. He bought a “$100,000 Fortune” Scratchers ticket at On The Run, 620 Truman Road in Festus, and won the top prize of $100,000.

“I was shocked” said Faulkenberry while claiming the prize at the St. Louis Lottery office on Jan. 6.

He split the prize with his mother, Diana Faulkenberry, and the two moved to Acworth, Ga. It was unbelievable timing for the two, who had a number of expenses connected to the relocation.

Faulkenberry, 29, had no plans for major purchases, but mentioned the win really made the transition easier.

$100,000 Fortune” is a $5 game that officially began April 14, 2014. The game features a top prize of $100,000, one, of which, remains. Track prizes remaining for any Missouri Lottery Scratchers game here at MOLottery.com.
