Story Photo Attention "Fun & Fortune" fans: The Lottery’s television game show is making way for a "Fun & Fortune Wheel Spin" offering more chances to win and bigger prizes! The change means a bigger instant game top prize, more ways to win and more winners competing for $250,000! The new $2 "Fun & Fortune" wheel spin Scratchers ticket, game 416, gives players 10 chances to win instead of five, like in the previous "Fun & Fortune" instant games. It also provides players a chance to win up to $20,000 instantly, instead of $1,000. Each week 10 players, instead of six, will win a minimum prize of $500, and one of these 10 players will get a chance to spin the wheel and win up to $250,000 cash. The new Scratchers game officially goes on sale June 22. "The bottom line is more winners and more cash prizes," said Gary Gonder, communications director for the Missouri Lottery. Gonder noted that the main concern right now is making sure all "Fun & Fortune" players mail in all their entry and automatic tickets for the current televised game by the June 24 deadline. "The final drawing for the ’Fun & Fortune’ game show with ’ENTRY’ tickets from Scratchers games 342 and 372 is June 24," he said. "Players with ’ENTRY’ tickets should send them in right away for a chance to be drawn as a contestant or home partner on the final episodes of the televised game show." Two more game show tapings will be held on June 18 and July 9. Gonder said after June 24, 2002, all "Fun & Fortune" winning automatic entry tickets from these games will become $1,000 winners, and all winning "ENTRY" tickets will become free $1 instant-ticket winners. For a chance to win $500 and a chance to spin the wheel, players need to buy a new $2 "Fun & Fortune" wheel spin Scratchers ticket. If the ticket is a winner and the prize is "ENTRY," the ticket should be mailed to Lottery headquarters in Jefferson City to be placed in a weekly drawing. Each week, 10 of these "ENTRY" tickets will be drawn, and those winners will receive $500. In addition, one of these 10 preliminary winners will be drawn for a chance to spin the wheel and win up to $250,000. The smallest amount a player can win in the wheel spin is $2,500. The "Fun & Fortune Wheel Spin" will be open to the public. It will also be streamed on the Lottery’s Web site for players to watch from anywhere in the world.
