ST. LOUIS WOMAN WINS AGAIN ON GAME SHOW
A homemaker from St. Louis (63043)* won again on the Missouri Lottery’s "Fun & Fortune" television game show, which aired this past weekend.
Peg Bruno, 62, competed in the show’s "$10,000 Championship" round where she won $10,000 but opted to risk losing half or increasing to nearly $250,000. In the end, Bruno won $70,000 for a total to date of $74,652. She will return again next week as the champion.
Bruno purchased her qualifying ticket at Schnucks Market, 12305 Natural Bridge in Bridgeton. The store received $3,732.60, an amount equal to 5 percent of Bruno’s winnings, for selling the qualifying ticket.
The other contestants and their winnings from last weekend’s show are:
*Corey Cardwell, Niangua, won $8,254;
*Debbie Baranowski, Richland, won $5,729;
*Bill Ward, Joplin, won $800;
*Richard Lowry, Bolivar, won $700;
*Jan Branson, Eureka, won $700;
*Tom Myers, St. Louis (63123)*, won $600.
Nine home partners won a total of $2,769 on the show. Bill White, Festus, won $1,000; Gail Atteberry, Louisiana, won $816; Lisa Spurlin, Bolivar, won $573; LaDora Crabtree, Stoutland, won $80; P.J. Klein, St. Louis (63111)*, and Mark Hartsock, St. Louis (63116)*, won $70 each; Katherine Clay, Green City, won $60; and George Melvin, Black Jack, and Jim Inman, Swedeborg, won $50 each.
Six contestants and nine home partners are selected each week. To become a contestant on "Fun & Fortune," you must play the Lottery’s Scratchers game by the same name. Match any of "Your Numbers" to either of the "Fun & Fortune Numbers" to win the prize shown. If the numbers match and the prize won is a television symbol, you are automatically a contestant on the game show; if the numbers match and the prize won is an "ENTRY" prize, you can send it in for a chance for your name to be drawn as a contestant or home partner. Stage contestants could win more than $250,000 in the weekly show.
