FLORISSANT WOMAN WINS $1,000 INSTANTLY

Story Photo A Florissant woman "pulled off" a $1,000 prize Tuesday in the Missouri Lottery’s Pull-Tab game called "Pharaoh’s Gold." Nicolette Murphy, 40, said she was working at the Hazelwood Bowl Bar, 210 Fee Fee Hills in Hazelwood, and things were slow, so she decided to buy 10 Pull-Tab tickets. To her surprise, the last one that came out of the machine, and the first one she played, turned out to be worth $1,000. Murphy, a bartender for the bowling lanes, said she and her husband, Dennis, plan to use the money to buy a new light for their swimming pool and new clothes for their two children, ages 8 and 11. "Pharaoh’s Gold" is the 120th Pull-Tab game offered since the Missouri Lottery began selling them in May 1990.
