JEFFERSON CITY MAN WINS $1,000

A Jefferson City man uncovered a $1,000 prize in the Missouri Lottery’s "Fun & Fortune" Scratchers game. Greg Augusta, 44, said he stopped in Westview Conoco, 5114 Old Lohman Road in Jefferson City on Saturday morning for some coffee. While there, he bought five "Fun & Fortune" tickets, and three of the five tickets were winners: two tickets were $2 winners and one ticket was a $1,000 winner.
"I’ll use it (money) to pay bills," said Augusta, who works for Modine Manufacturing in Jefferson City. "I might do a little landscaping."
Augusta said this wasn’t the first time he or his wife have won with the "Fun & Fortune" game. His wife, Moni, won $8,888 as a contestant on the game show on Feb. 5, 2000.
"Fun & Fortune" is the 372nd Scratchers game offered by the Missouri Lottery. The $1 game officially started Aug. 25, 2001.
