ST. LOUIS WOMAN WON $61,000 ON GAME SHOW

A custodian from St. Louis (63104)* won $61,000 on the Missouri Lottery’s "Fun & Fortune" television game show, which aired this past weekend. Carolyn Jackson, 49, competed in the show’s "9 Ball" preliminary round where she won $1,000 and a seat in the "$10,000 Championship" round. During the later round, Jackson won $10,000, but opted to risk losing half or increasing it to possibly $250,000 in the "Mega Multiplier" bonus round. In that round, Jackson won $60,000, bringing her total winnings to date to $61,000. Jackson will return again next week as the champion. Jackson purchased her qualifying ticket at 7-Eleven, 6703 S. Broadway, St. Louis. The store received $3,050, an amount equal to 5 percent of Jackson’s winnings, for selling the qualifying ticket. The other contestants and their winnings from last weekend’s show are: * Dan Lehman, Gladstone, won $9,225; * Carol Tapley, Hannibal, won $700; * Brandie Russell, Ironton, won $700; * Bill Smith, Joplin, won $600; * Elle Lawrence, Cassville, won $600. Nine home partners won a total of $2,432 on the show. Linda Wheeler, Memphis, won $1,000; Hazel Dempsey, Kansas City, won $922; Russell Gardin, St. Louis (63110)*, and Joe Maddox, Fulton, both won $100 each; Ed Borough, St. Louis (63125)*, and Monica Coppage, Rich Hill, both won $70 each; Don Myers, Clinton, and Tom Barber, Patterson, both won $60 each; and Sandra Hammonds, St. Louis (63130)*, won $50. Six contestants and nine home partners are selected each week. To become a contestant on "Fun & Fortune," you must play the Lottery’s Scratchers game by the same name. Match any of "Your Numbers" to either of the "Fun & Fortune Numbers" to win the prize shown. If the numbers match and the prize won is a television symbol, you are automatically a contestant on the game show; if the numbers match and the prize won is an "ENTRY" prize, you can send it in for a chance for your name to be drawn as a contestant or home partner. Stage contestants could win more than $250,000 in the weekly show.
