ROLLA BAKER ROLLING IN DOUGH AFTER PLAYING POWERBALL

Story Photo A Rolla baker nearly lost $5,000 after his wife cleaned the house and put his Powerball ticket in the trash. Arlynn "A.J." Jones, 42, said he had the ticket in his wallet ever since he bought it for the March 27 drawing. On March 29, he picked up a print-out of the winning numbers from the previous Powerball drawing and put them with his tickets. He then left the tickets at home before he could check them. Upon hearing that a $5,000 ticket was sold at Phillips MPC, Highway 72 East and Highway O in Rolla, where he buys his tickets, Jones went home and looked for his tickets. One ticket, which he eventually found in the trash, turned out to be worth $5,000. Jones, who works in the bakery at Wal-Mart in Rolla, said he plans to use the winnings to buy a well for his land. To win $5,000 in Powerball, Jones matched four of the five white-ball numbers and the Powerball number. The winning numbers from the March 27 drawing were: 15, 35, 40, 43 and 46. The Powerball number was 33.
