KANSAS CITY MAN FINDS $30,000 PRIZE

They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and for one Kansas City man, it was also the most lucrative meal. Kenneth "Ken" Kirkpatrick, 54, said he decided to buy some Missouri Lottery Scratchers tickets after eating breakfast Saturday. He bought 10 "Super Cash" tickets at Gomer’s Fine Wine/Spirits, 9902 Holmes Road in Kansas City. When he scratched the tickets in the parking lot, he discovered that one was a top-prize winner worth $30,000. "It’s in the bank, where it will stay for awhile," said Kirkpatrick. "I might use it to buy a bass boat somewhere down the line." Kirkpatrick does maintenance for apartment complexes in Kansas City. "Super Cash" is the 403rd Scratchers game offered by the Missouri Lottery. The $2 game officially went on sale March 2.
