The holidays were brighter for Clinton Kourik, 26, of Catawissa when he discovered he had won the top prize of $100,000 on a Missouri Lottery “Holiday Lights” Scratchers ticket.  He received the winning ticket as a gift from his brother’s girlfriend, Felicia, at a family gift exchange.

“My dad, my step brothers, my fiancée, Emma, and Felicia were all there when I scratched my ticket.  My heart was beating out of my chest when I realized I won $100,000,” Kourik explained with excitement.  “Felicia was happy for us.”

The winning ticket was purchased at Wallis Oil Company, 1818 W. Osage St. in Pacific.

A disabled Marine veteran, Kourik is currently looking for work and said the win came at the perfect time.  Kourik and his fiancée are planning a wedding and a new addition to their family.

“Emma and I have a son on the way in a month and a half.  This is definitely a blessing,” he confided.

"Holiday Lights" “Holiday Lights” is a $5 game with a chance to win up to $100,000 and up to 20 times on a single ticket.  The holiday-themed Scratchers game also has two Bonus Games.
