Lottery To Replace MONOPOLY Game with Lucky for Life

The Missouri Lottery announced today that it will suspend selling the multi-state MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES’ CLUB (MMC) Draw Game on Dec. 26 due to lower than expected sales nationwide. It plans to replace the game with a new “Lucky for Life” Draw Game on Jan. 27.

“The decision to end the game was a real-time business decision consistent with the Lottery’s mission and top priority to optimize profits for public education,” said May Scheve Reardon, executive director of the Missouri Lottery.

The Missouri Lottery is replacing the MMC game with a $2 “Lucky for Life” Draw Game that starts Jan. 27. It is a multi-state game that offers a top prize of $1,000 a day for life and a second-place prize of $25,000 a year for life.

“This is an existing game that has been successful in several New England states for many years,” she said. “Our research has shown that Missouri players really like ‘win-for-life’ type prizes, so we think it will appeal to our players.”
