November 24 Proves to Be Lucky Day for Lottery Player

On Nov. 24, 2013, Anthony Bell of St. Louis welcomed his son to the world. Exactly one year later, Bell won a $313,000 jackpot from the Missouri Lottery. Bell purchased his winning Show Me Cash ticket at QuikTrip, 918 S. Vandeventer Ave., in St. Louis City and used Quick Pick to match all five numbers drawn, which were:  1, 10, 18, 24 and 25.
Bell purchased his ticket on the morning of Nov. 24 while getting coffee and breakfast, but he did not realize his good fortune until a few days later.
“We had a birthday party for my son that night,” said Bell. “I didn’t get a chance to check my ticket until a day or two later.”
The father of two had his ticket checked at a Missouri Lottery retailer and was shocked by the results.
“It was something when I found out that I had won,” laughed Bell. “The clerk couldn’t believe it any more than I could.”
Bell, a frequent Draw Games player, is planning on paying off debt with his Lottery win, and is remaining hopeful that the Nov. 24 date will prove to be beneficial in the years to come.
“I’ll definitely buy a few tickets on my son’s next birthday. I just hope nobody else steals my luck on that day,” concluded Bell.
Show Me Cash” is a daily Draw Game with jackpots starting at $50,000 that grow until someone wins. Bell’s $313,000 win marks the 334th Show Me Cash jackpot since the game was introduced in 2008. In the past 12 months, 50 jackpot prizes have been awarded, with the average jackpot size of more than $189,000. Since the game began in 2008, more than $51 million has been awarded in jackpot prizes. View all past jackpot prizes and winning numbers at MOLottery.com.
