Missouri Lottery to Save $4.9 Million with New Contract

The Missouri Lottery Commission today voted to award a seven-year contract to the GTECH Corp. of Providence, R.I., to provide computer gaming systems and related services to the Missouri Lottery. The new contract will save the Lottery and the state of Missouri $700,000 annually and $4.9 million over the life of the contract.

“We’re pleased with the innovation and the cost-savings this new contract provides the Lottery,” said John Twitty, chairman of the Missouri Lottery Commission. “The commission reviewed the recommendation by Lottery Executive Director May Scheve Reardon, along with the oversight of the Office of Administration’s purchasing division, and the commission decided the best vendor for this contract is GTECH. We look forward to working with their staff to increase Lottery profits and make a difference for public education.”
