The morning of Sept. 30 was an eventful one for one Jefferson City resident. In just a few hours, Christopher Hilke managed to win two prizes on separate Missouri Lottery “Lucky 7s Playbook” Scratchers tickets. Hilke’s first win totaled $100, part of which he later used to purchase another “Playbook.” The 43-year-old district manager purchased his second “Playbook” from Break Time, 1907 E. McCarty St. in Jefferson City, which contained a $5,000 prize.
Upon claiming his prize at the Lottery headquarters in Jefferson City and receiving a ceremonial check, Hilke, a father of two, had yet to tell his wife of his exciting morning.
“She works at a bank. I think I’m going to stop by and give her this big check to deposit and see what she says,” joked Hilke.
With his oldest child attending the University of Missouri and his youngest at Helias High School, Hilke thinks he will put some of his winnings towards their tuitions. The father added that he would like to donate a portion of his winnings towards updating Helias High School’s weight room, as well. The donation would add to an ongoing initiative to update and replace existing weight room equipment that benefits all sports and students attending the high school.
Lucky 7s Playbook” is the only Missouri Lottery Scratchers ticket to offer six games in one. Introduced on March 31, the $20 ticket has more than $16 million in prizes remaining. Search all Missouri Lottery games and prize amounts at MOLottery.com.
