A Mountain Grove resident’s post-work boredom has paid off with a $75,000 Missouri Lottery prize. While waiting for a ride home from work, Cassandra Harris made an impulse decision to purchase a Missouri Lottery “Blackout Bingo” Scratchers ticket. Harris plans to fulfill a longtime dream of owning her first home with the top prize. She purchased the winning ticket at Mom & Pops Pub, 118 E. First St., in Mountain Grove.
Harris, who works at Mom & Pops Pub, revealed her $75,000 prize at the establishment. She put the winning ticket in her purse and did not tell anyone about her win until she claimed her prize at the Lottery’s Springfield regional office on Aug. 25. The future first-time home buyer has already started researching the housing market in the Mountain Grove area and hopes to close on a property by early next year.

Blackout Bingo” is a $3 Scratchers game that was introduced on May 19. With more than $6 million in prizes remaining, Harris was the second player to claim the $75,000 top prize. View all remaining prize amounts for all Scratchers games at MOLottery.com.
