First-Time Lottery Player Claims Top Prize

Story Photo

A St. Louis woman is taking home a top prize of $75,000 after playing her first Missouri Lottery Scratchers ticket. Quianna Kennell’s winning “Blackout Bingo” ticket was purchased at Riverview Circle BP, 9102 Halls Ferry Road, in St. Louis on July 28.
Kennell, 44, received the “Blackout Bingo” ticket from her sister-in-law, who cashed in a winning ticket for additional Scratchers tickets.
“I just can’t believe this is happening. This is practically my first time ever playing,” exclaimed Kennell. “I didn’t even believe it was true until I called the Lottery.”
A vehicle for her 18-year-old child is the first thing the child care director is planning to purchase with her winnings. Kennell isn’t forgetting about her sister-in-law, either, saying that she is preparing to treat her, as well.
Blackout Bingo” is a $3 ticket that was introduced on May 19. Kennell is the first person to claim the top prize with three others remaining. Track all Scratchers prizes at MOLottery.com.
