Schnucks Market Contributes More Than $291,000 to Public Education

For the third consecutive year, Schnucks Market, 5055 Arsenal St. in St. Louis, was inducted into the Missouri Lottery’s Million Dollar Club, a group of 35 retailers, for selling more than $1 million in Lottery products last year. To celebrate the achievement, the Missouri Lottery hosted a customer appreciation event at the store on June 12.

“We are so proud of this retail partner,” said May Scheve Reardon, executive director for the Missouri Lottery. “Lottery sales at this Schnucks Market alone generated more than $291,582 for public education in calendar year 2013.”

Reardon explained that the Million Dollar Club is a way to honor retail locations that are going above and beyond to raise money for a variety of programs, including A+ Scholarships, Virtual Schools, Special Education Excess Costs, Access Missouri, the Classroom Trust Fund, library acquisitions and educational scholarships.

“The customer appreciation event is our way to both celebrate the store’s success and reward their customers by awarding prizes,” Reardon said.
