A few Missouri Lottery tickets between jobs might surprise you. A Columbia contactor decided to chase his luck and ended up with a $5,000 prize. Jason Smith, owner of A Better Construction, said luck pointed him to the “$100,000 Fortune” Scratchers ticket, specifically at Casey’s General Store, 3009 Paris Road, in Columbia.
“I bought a string of four of them two weeks ago, and I won on all four,” began Smith.
After trying his luck at other places, he decided to go back to Casey’s General Store for another “$100,000 Fortune” ticket.
“I’ve won on several of these tickets,” he explained. “And I won on the one I bought yesterday.”
He joked that he might have to switch it up now. Plans for the unexpected payday were already in motion.
“Eliminate debt,” he declared. “I bought a new computer yesterday. That’s my sole purchase. The rest is just to eliminate debt. Be a little more comfortable.”
He committed to trying his luck again.
“You can’t win if you don’t play,” Smith stated.
“$100,000 Fortune” is a $5 game that officially began April 14. The game features a top prize of $100,000. To date, more than $10 million in prizes, including three top prizes, remain in the game. Track prizes remaining for any Missouri Lottery Scratchers game here at MOLottery.com.
