LIBERAL CONSTRUCTION WORKER IS $100,000 WEALTHIER

A routine stop for gasoline paid off for a construction worker from Liberal when he purchased a Powerball ticket that turned out to be worth $100,000. Douglas "Doug" Cambers, 34, purchased his gas and winning ticket on Aug. 17 at FasTrip, 402 W. Austin in Nevada. His lucky combination, that he let the computer pick, matched five numbers in the Aug. 18 Powerball drawing to win the second-place prize. The winning numbers were: 3, 14, 20, 22 and 48. Cambers and his wife, Dena, plan to pay off some bills and invest the rest of the winnings. "It’ll make it a little easier," Cambers said.
