FOUR SALESMEN TO SHARE $100,000 POWERBALL PRIZE

A group of four salesmen for REW Materials in Kansas City, Kan., is splitting a $100,000 Powerball prize from the Aug. 22 drawing. The winners are Brian Reynolds and Brent Wilhelm, both of Independence, Jon Zeller of Grain Valley and Michael VanDyke of Gladstone. Each will receive approximately $25,000 before taxes. According to Reynolds, the group started pooling their money, along with others, when the Powerball jackpot reached $75 million. As the jackpot grew, the four men decided to pool their money in a small group. They purchased their winning Quick Pick ticket at QuikTrip, 2590 N.E. 72nd St. in Kansas City. The winning numbers were: 2, 28, 30, 36 and 39. The winners’ plans for the money include new vehicles, a down payment on a house and paying bills. The Missouri Lottery has sold 557 Powerball tickets worth $100,000 since the game began in April 1992.
