Lottery Sends $21.1 Million to Education Fund

The Missouri Lottery today transferred more than $21.1 million to the Lottery Proceeds Fund for public education.  The monthly transfer, based on Lottery tickets sales in May, totaled $21,137,532, and it brings the amount sent to education during fiscal year 2014 to $267.3 million.

Since Missouri Lottery sales started in 1986, the Lottery has generated more than $4.8 billion for the state and public education. Programs funded in FY14 include the A+ Scholarship Program, the Foundation Program and Access Missouri.                                                                                                  Time Running Out on Scratchers Prizes

Nine Missouri Lottery Scratchers games will expire by the end of July. The games are:

• Game 895, “MONOPOLY™,” – expires June 16;
• Game 907, “Golden 7s,” – expires June 16;
• Game 908, “Wild $25s,” – expires June 16;
• Game 918, “Harley-Davidson®,” – expires June 16;
• Game 943, “Ghostbusters™,” – expires June 30;
• Game 926, “Triple Cash,” – expires July 15;
• Game 940, “Kansas City Chiefs” – expires July 21;
• Game 931, “Diamond 7,” – expires July 28; and
• Game 933, “Give Me 5,” – expires July 28.
