Webb City Gas Stop Turns into $100K Win

It was just a quick stop to fill up his gas tank, but the routine errand led Justin Braudaway to a surprise payday of $100,000.  After fueling his vehicle, Braudaway went inside Kum & Go, 411 S. Madison in Webb City, and purchased a Missouri Lottery “$1,000,000 Classic Cash” Scratchers ticket – a ticket that held a cash prize that will now help pay off his house.

“I just happened to have a couple extra dollars, and I thought, ‘Why not?’” the Pierce City resident said of his lucky last-minute purchase.

“I didn’t believe it at first,” he added about the win, recounting how he scratched the ticket before leaving store grounds and then immediately went right back in to have the clerk check it for him.

Braudaway claimed his prize at the Lottery’s Springfield regional office on May 22.

“$1,000,000 Classic Cash” is a $10 game, which began on Jan. 2, 2013. It offers top prizes of $1 million, as well as thousands of other cash prizes ranging from $10 to $100,000.  Remaining prizes for this game – which currently total more than $16 million, including five more $100,000 prizes and two $1 million prizes – can be viewed at MOLottery.com.
