Eldon Man Gives Half of Lottery Winnings to His Wife

Buying multiple Missouri Lottery Scratchers tickets from Break Time, 809 S. Aurora Street, in Eldon resulted in Harry Light, 67, becoming $25,000 richer after uncovering the top prize in “$25,000 Payday.”

An Eldon resident himself, Light said he did not initially believe his eyes. After taking off his glasses and checking multiple times, Light took his ticket back to the Break Time clerk to have it verified before he believed he was actually a winner.

When asked if he had told anyone about his extra fortune, Light laughed saying, “By now all of Eldon probably knows. Word gets around pretty quick.”

As for his plans for his Lottery winnings, Light plans on giving half of the money to his wife to do with what she wants; whereas Light himself plans on saving his half for the future. Light and his wife, both frequent Scratchers players, agreed years ago that should either of them win, they would split any winnings.

$25,000 Payday” is a $2 ticket with three $25,000 top prizes remaining. Track all remaining Scratchers prizes at MOLottery.com.
