Macks Creek Man Skips Dinner, Wins $10,000 Prize

As it turns out, you can win a Missouri Lottery prize just about anywhere. It happened to Daniel Boone III of Macks Creek as he waited in line at a place better known for customers forking over money, not winning it – a fast food drive-thru.

“I was sitting in line in the drive-thru at Taco Bell, and I just decided to scratch it,” he explained of the “50X The Cash” Scratchers ticket he had purchased earlier in the day, but had not yet played. “Needless to say, I didn’t get any Taco Bell!”

In fact, Boone, 23, forgot all about his hunger and immediately pulled out of the line, making his way to a nearby gas station to confirm his winnings.

“I was so excited, I couldn’t add it up,” he shared, laughing as he recounted the moment he realized he had won 50 times the $200 prize he had just uncovered on his ticket.

“A lot of it will probably go into savings for my son,” he added. “I also want to help out my family some.”

Boone bought his winning ticket at Just A Little Store, 1825 State Road A in Montreal, on April 18.

“50X The Cash” is a $10 game, with top prizes of $1 million. It also offers thousands of other cash prizes ranging from $10 to $100,000.  Remaining prizes for all Lottery Scratchers games can be viewed at MOLottery.com.
