ILLINOIS MAN WINS $2,000 TRIP VOUCHER AND $500 CASH

A silk screen printer from Granite City, Ill., may be taking a break from the printing business to take a vacation after uncovering one of 25 prizes worth $2,000 in travel and $500 cash in the Missouri Lottery’s new "Safari Survival" Scratchers game. Keith Dermott, 46, said he only bought one ticket when he stopped in Westmoreland Food Mart, 6020 N. Broadway in St. Louis, to get gas on Oct. 20. Dermott said he is not sure where he will travel with his voucher. The prize comes complete with state and federal withholding taxes paid. The vouchers can be used for hotels, rental cars, flights, trains, buses or any other travel expenses arranged by a Missouri Lottery designated travel agency. In addition to 25 travel prizes, "Safari Survival," which officially started Oct. 20, offers players 16 chances to win up to $100,000.
