Rolla Residents Make $1 Million-Dollar Deal

Story Photo

Two Phelps County residents held true to their word and split a $1 million Missouri Lottery Scratchers prize on Feb. 24.
The day before claiming the windfall at Lottery headquarters in Jefferson City, Bobby Baker, 44, and Bryan Litz, 36, both of Rolla, stopped at Mobil on the Run, 1710 N. Bishop in Rolla, and made a deal to each pay half of the cost of a $20 “$5,000,000 Cash Extravaganza” ticket and share the prize, should the two get that lucky. As fate would have it, the players ended up winning the sixth of only 10 $1 million prizes available in the game.

$5,000,000 Cash Extravaganza” officially started on Jan. 23, 2010. To date, two top prizes of $5 million, as well as thousands of additional prizes ranging from $20 to $1 million remain in play.
