Lottery Sends $17.3 Million to Public Education Fund

The Missouri Lottery today sent more than $17.3 million to the Lottery Proceeds Fund for public education. The monthly transfer, based on January sales, is $17,334,230, and it brings the total for the fiscal year to more than $177 million.

Since Missouri Lottery sales started in 1986, the Lottery has generated more than $4.7 billion for the state and public education. Programs funded in FY13 include the A+ Scholarship Program, the Foundation Program and Access Missouri.                                                              Time Running Out to Claim Prizes in Eight Scratchers Games

Eight Missouri Lottery Scratchers games will expire in the next two months. The games are:

• Game 893, “Triple Dough” – expires Feb. 10;
• Game 888, “Groovy Cash” – expires Feb. 15;
• Game 898, “Whole Lotta $100s” – expires Feb. 15;
• Game 912, “Slingo,” – expires Feb. 15;
• Game 921, “Double 8s” – expires Feb. 28;
• Game 914, “Powerball/Mega Millions” – expires March 3;
• Game 916, “5X the Winnings” – expires March 3; and
• Game 929, “Red, White & Blue Bucks” – expires March 10.
