Washington County resident Jessica Riddle rang in 2014 with a winning Missouri Lottery ticket in her hand. The 27-year-old Cadet woman said she is “still shocked” by her $100,000 win on New Year’s Eve.
“I might have steak instead of pizza,” Riddle joked, regarding her plans for the windfall. The mother of one three-year-old son intends to use the prize money to pay off her home.
“This is much-needed financial stress relief for my family,” she added.
The first-time Lottery winner bought her “20X The Cash” Scratchers ticket at Roy’s #1, 10088 Old 8 E., in Mineral Point.
20X The Cash” is a $5 game with a top prize of $100,000. The game officially started on Dec. 30. Riddle won the first of seven top prizes available in the game.
