TRUCK DRIVER TO GET GARAGE AFTER WINNING $100,000

A truck driver from House Springs plans to build a new garage after winning $100,000 in the Aug. 25 Powerball drawing. Thomas "Tom" and Cynthia Caton, both 47, said they also plan to share some of the winnings with their three children. In addition, they plan to use some of the winnings on a planned trip to an island off Venezuela early next year. Caton purchased their winning ticket at Globe Cut Rate Drug, 1900 S. Broadway in St. Louis. He used Quick Pick to select his winning numbers. They were: 8, 17, 22, 42 and 47. The Missouri Lottery has sold 557 Powerball tickets worth $100,000 since the game began in April 1992.
