It’s only been less than a year since Brenden Coplin-Farrow has been able to play the Missouri Lottery, and he already knows what it’s like to win big. The 18-year-old Jefferson County resident uncovered a $100,000 prize on a “$5,000,000 Jackpot” Scratchers ticket on
Dec. 6.

Prior to the win, the Herculaneum High School graduate hadn’t made plans to continue his education. However, his future is looking brighter than ever, thanks to some extra cash that he intends to use to attend a college or trade school this spring.

“I was pretty excited,” Coplin-Farrow reflected, referring to the moment he scratched off his winning ticket in the parking lot at Mobil on the Run, 1632 Highway Z in Pevely, in early December.

“I didn’t know if I wanted to go to school – or how I would pay for it if I did,” the first-time Lottery winner shared. “Now I have the money to go. I think I might go into HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning).”

$5,000,000 Jackpot” is a $20 game that officially started on Aug. 5. To date, two top prizes of $5 million, as wells as thousands of prizes ranging from $20 to $100,000, remain in play.
