The addition of the Power Play option to a Missouri Lottery player’s Powerball purchase instantly doubled a $1 million win into a $2 million reward. The ticket, which was sold at Schnucks Market, 10233 Manchester Road in St. Louis, matched all five white-ball numbers drawn in the Dec. 4 Powerball drawing. That feat normally results in a $1 million win, but thanks to Power Play, the winner will take home twice the prize, marking the first time a Missouri player has won the $2 million Match 5 + Power Play prize, since it was added to the game in early 2012.

The winning number combination was 6, 9, 11, 31 and 44.

According to May Scheve Reardon, executive director for the Missouri Lottery, the lucky winner is the 388th Missouri Lottery-made millionaire.

“To the holder of this ticket, if you haven’t done so already, please sign the back of it immediately, and keep it in a safe place until you come see us to claim your prize,” she said. “We’re ready and excited to meet our newest millionaire.”

Draw Game winners, including those who play Powerball, have exactly 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prize. In this case, the winners have until June 2, 2014. Prizes can be claimed at any of the Lottery’s four offices, which are located in St. Louis, Jefferson City, Springfield and Kansas City.
