Ozark Server Scoops Up $50,000 Lottery Prize

One Ozark restaurant server ended up taking home her biggest payday to date on her day off. Kimberly Moore, 48, explained how she drove past Casey’s General Store, 603 E. South Street in Ozark, and she “got a feeling” that she should turn around. Moments later, the mother-of-three found herself inside of the store holding a Missouri Lottery “Bearing Gifts” Scratchers ticket worth $50,000.

“I was kind of in shock,” Moore remembered. “I started shaking. I kept seeing the little stockings.”

On that particular Scratchers game, the more stockings the better, because they equate to prizes. There are a total of five top prizes worth $50,000 available in the game. Moore uncovered the second top prize. There are still three top prizes remaining, as well as thousands of additional prizes ranging from $3 to $1,000.

While claiming her prize at the Lottery’s Springfield office, Moore said the windfall will “make life a little bit easier.”

“I’ll be able to pay off all of my bills,” she added, noting she plans to use the rest of the windfall to give her children “a great Christmas.

Bearing Gifts” is a $3 ticket with a top prize of $50,000. Players can enter non-winning holiday-themed games into the “Dashing Through The Snow” promotion for a chance to win warehouse dashes in Chicago, $1,000 shopping sprees and $500 cash prizes.
