MISSISSIPPI WOMAN CLAIMS $100,000 PRIZE SOLD IN STEELE

A woman from Horn Lake, Miss., claimed the $100,000 Powerball prize sold at D & N Raceway, Highway O and Interstate 55 in Steele for the Aug. 22 draw. Laverne Fae Copeland mailed her claim to the Missouri Lottery. Copeland let the computer pick the combination of numbers on her winning ticket. Those numbers were: 2, 28, 30, 36 and 39. The Missouri Lottery has sold 562 Powerball tickets worth $100,000 each since the game began in April 1992.
