A Lambert-St. Louis International Airport employee’s bank account has reached new heights, thanks to a decision to take a chance on a Missouri Lottery Show Me Cash ticket. St. Louis County resident Dolores Keller (*63136) used Quick Pick to match all five numbers drawn on Oct. 21, earning the 45-year-old a $169,000 payday. The winning numbers were:  5, 8, 12, 25 and 29.

Keller learned she’d be able to make the holidays a lot happier for herself and three grown children the day after the drawing.

“I was checking my tickets,” Keller began, adding that she normally waits at least a week after a Show Me Cash drawing has occurred to check her tickets. “I was like, ‘Oh, my, goodness!’”

Keller recalls contacting the Lottery’s winning numbers hotline at least six times to confirm the win.

She joked that she finally started to believe she had matched all five numbers drawn after “about three or four calls,” but she continued to call several more times after that, for good measure.

“I just had to make sure,” she declared.

“This can’t be real,” the first-time Lottery winner recalled, in regards to the winning ticket she bought at Petro Mart, 9790 Natural Bridge Road, in Berkeley.

“My daughter is going to graduate school, so I’m going to help her, and I’ll catch up on some of my bills,” she shared, when asked what she intended to do with the prize money.

“I’ll surprise my other two kids with a little bit of money, too,” she noted.

It won’t be all work and no play for the lucky travel aficionado.

“I always plan a trip, every year, to go on a cruise,” she concluded. “So, I might plan two of them!”
